12 Extremely Fast Growing Veggies For Your Garden

Lets be honest, some of us arent born with patience and we want to get things as quickly as we can. Maybe this is the reason why we avoid to plant a garden because we think it will take centuries to get the veggies and fruits we want to eat now. Thats why I decided to collect the fastest growing veggies and motivate you to start gardening.

Shallots

Ready to Harvest in 8 Weeks

The good thing when you decide to plant shallots is that you can pick the leaves and leave the base to regrow for months of harvesting, or if you want to pull out the whole plant. Another advantage of the shallots is that you can even plant leftover shop-bought shallots.

Arugula

Ready to Harvest in 3 Weeks

This plant is a very good choice if you are an impatient gardener. It takes less than a month to see the fruits of your work and it is really accessible - you can plant it in a window box, container or in your backyard.

Zucchini

Ready to Harvest in 9 Weeks

One of my personal favorites. It can take a while for the zucchini to grow to its full size but after 70 days it is big enough to harvest. But my opinion is that this veggie is more delicious when it is smaller.

Cucumber

Ready to Harvest in 6 to 9 Weeks

During the summer months, I eat a huge amount of cucumbers, this veggie is the symbol of the summer salads - crispy and fresh...thats all you need to get your daily dose of cheerfulness.

Cherry Belle Radishes

Ready to Harvest in 3 Weeks

The best thing about this plant is that its almost completely disease-free and if you are a beginner in gardening you will be motivated to carry for them. Another benefit is that radishes will successfully mature almost anywhere.

Baby Carrots

Ready to Harvest in 4 Weeks

They are a great snack option and the most important thing is that baby carrots grow faster than their full-grown counterparts. It only takes a month to taste these little fellows.

Snap Peas

Ready to Harvest in 8 Weeks

They are a great alternative to the junk food. Snap Peas are a healthy snack when your kids need something between the meals.

Spinach

Ready to Harvest in 5 to 6 Weeks

This vegetable is full of vitamins and it is great in salads, hot dishes and as a garnish. One of its main benefits is that it can grow in areas of your garden with partial sunlight.

Bush Beans

Ready to Harvest in 7 Weeks

Growing this veggie takes less than 2 months and the best part is that there are a lot of varieties to choose from.

Rocket

Ready to Harvest in 4 Weeks

It is called not coincidentally Rocket. This wildly popular and spicy-tasting leafy salad is ready for you just in a month. You can sow more seeds every 4 weeks for a constant supply of fresh and young leaves.

Pak Choy

Ready to Harvest in 5 Weeks

This tasty Asian veggie is perfect for salads, steaming and stir-fries. You can even eat its flowers but then you have to know that the flowering means the plant is finished. You can start planting new batches every 2 or 3 weeks and you will have a nutritious and delicious vegetable at your table.

Turnip

Ready to Harvest in 8 Weeks

This is another bomb full with nutrients and vitamins. You can put these tender and juicy roots in stews, roasting meals or eat them raw.

I hope that this list of suggestions will help to some impatient, but devoted gardeners. Vegetables are an essential part of the menu for the people who want to live healthier. And is there anything better than raising them in our own gardens?
